About us

A family business, from the first window to the last.

Since 2008, The Well Dressed Window has been owned and run by the Mote family. The same people who design your windows are the ones who measure, install and stand behind them.

Our story

It started with one designer and one installer.

Bridget Mote started The Well Dressed Window in Bloomington-Normal in 2008, with Greg at her side. In the beginning it was truly a family operation: Bridget sold, and her father-in-law, Bill, installed.

Window treatments were already in the family. Bridget's parents ran their own business in the Chicago area, and in 2017 Bridget and Greg bought it from them. The Well Dressed Window Chicagoland was born, now our showroom in Orland Park. Today we serve Central Illinois, Chicagoland, Northwest Indiana and Greater Nashville, and the business is still led by the same family.

Bridget Mote

Owner & Lead Designer

The foundation of the business. Bridget leads every part of the client experience and runs our sales and design appointments.

Greg Mote

Owner, Master Carpenter & Master Installer

Greg oversees every installation and brings a craftsman's standards to each one.

Madeleine Day

Director of Operations

Madeleine built the systems that keep everything running. She trains every new team member and handles HR and operations.

Jacob Mote

Outside Sales Consultant & Designer

Jacob runs design appointments in Bloomington-Normal, Champaign and Chicagoland, and lends a hand in the showroom.

Tina Mote

Showroom Manager

Tina welcomes clients to the showroom and keeps every project on track.
