The Well Dressed Window respects your privacy. This page explains what information our website collects, why, who helps us handle it and the choices you have.
Information you give us
- Consultation and contact form: your name, email, phone number, nearest location, the products you're interested in and your message.
- Repair request form: your name, email, phone number, town or ZIP, nearest location, details about the product and problem, and a photo if you choose to send one.
- Room Visualizer: your first name, email and (optionally) ZIP code to unlock the tool, and the room photo you upload.
- Chat assistant: the questions you type, and if you ask a designer to contact you, your first name, email or phone number, town or ZIP, nearest showroom and a copy of the conversation.
Information collected automatically
- Usage limits: to keep the Room Visualizer and chat assistant available for everyone, we count how often they're used per day. These counts are stored with a one-way code made from your email or internet address, not the email or address itself.
- Hosting logs: our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as internet address and browser type) to run and protect the website.
How we use it
- To reply to you, schedule consultations and repairs, and follow up about your project.
- To create your Room Visualizer previews and answer chat questions.
- To email you design ideas and special offers, only if you checked the box to receive them. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can ask us to stop at any time.
- To improve our website and understand which pages are helpful.
- To keep the website secure and prevent misuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with other companies for their own marketing.
Companies that help us
We use a few trusted services to run this website. They handle information only to provide their service to us, under their own privacy policies:
- Netlify hosts the website and receives and stores the forms you send.
- Google's AI (Gemini) creates Room Visualizer previews from the photo you upload; and it supplies the maps and YouTube videos on some pages. YouTube videos only load when you press play.
- Anthropic provides the AI (Claude) that writes the chat assistant's replies.
Room Visualizer photos are sent to Google only to create your preview and are not saved on our website. Chat messages are sent to Anthropic only to create the reply.
What your browser remembers
- The Room Visualizer remembers the name and email you entered on your own device, so you don't have to type them again.
- The chat assistant keeps your conversation in your browser until you close the tab, so it follows you from page to page.
How long we keep it
We keep form messages and contact details as long as we need them to serve you and run our business, then delete them.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just contact us using the details below and we'll take care of it.
Children
Our website is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
