Motorization FAQ
Can I add motorization to treatments I already have?
It depends on the product. Many current Hunter Douglas products can be motorized; your designer can check what you have.
Do motorized shades need to be wired?
Most PowerView products run on rechargeable or replaceable battery wands, so no electrician is needed. Hardwired options are available for new construction.
What happens if something stops working?
Call us. We program every system we install and offer repair service on Hunter Douglas products.
How long is motorization covered?
Hunter Douglas covers motorization components for five years from the date of purchase, and we handle service locally.

We love the product - Hunter Douglas SkyLift shades that Well Dressed Window installed a few years ago - they look great and gently block the sunlight when it's too strong..... And the service is also terrific! Staff associate Nolan changed the batteries in the lift motor and he couldn't have been more professional and smart - the motor is hidden away but he found it and video'd it so that next time the process will go even more smoothly! A-1 service!!!
I am so pleased with my window treatments. Corey and Maddie’s recommendations were so helpful. My motorized woven woods are a dream, color choice is perfect and warms up my living room and dining beautifully. The roller shades in my kitchen are great too. Corey was fun to work with and had great suggestions while listening to what I told him I was trying to achieve. They measured and then installer remeasured before they were ordered to insure accuracy which I greatly appreciated. Installation was smooth and very professional, which I appreciated as well. Even Cathy and the showroom office were helpful. A small, family run business, that was great to deal with.
You learn most about a company when something goes wrong. We purchased 2 Hunter-Douglas blinds this past spring and one broke after 3 months. Bridget from The Well-Dressed Window responded promptly to our needs and convinced Hunter-Douglas to remake the blind at no charge to us. The new one works perfectly. Bridget is an outgoing person that you think you have known her for years. She makes you feel very comfortable and there was never ever any pressure .
