Wood & faux wood blinds
Wood blinds are a classic for a reason: the slats tilt for precise control of light and privacy, and the material adds warmth to any room. Real hardwood brings natural grain and character, while alternative wood holds up to humidity and everyday wear.
Match the stain or paint to your floors, cabinets or trim, and choose slat size and decorative tapes to fine-tune the look.

Which wood & faux wood blinds are right for you?
Real hardwood
Parkland® Wood Blinds are crafted from real hardwood, with natural grain and a range of stains and paints.
Made for humid rooms
EverWood® Alternative Wood Blinds resist warping, cracking and fading, so they're ideal for kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms.
Wood & Faux Wood Blinds FAQ
Real wood or faux wood blinds?
Real wood is lighter and has natural grain, which suits living rooms, bedrooms and large windows. Faux wood stands up to moisture and heat, which makes it the better choice for kitchens, bathrooms and sunny, humid rooms. Many homes use both.
Will wood blinds match my trim or floors?
We bring stain and paint samples to your home so you can hold them up to your floors, cabinets and trim in your own light.
Can wood blinds be motorized?
Yes. Parkland® Wood Blinds and EverWood® Alternative Wood Blinds are available with PowerView® Automation.
How do I clean wood blinds?
Dust them regularly with a soft cloth or a vacuum brush, with the slats closed one way and then the other. Wipe faux wood with a damp cloth; keep real wood dry.

You learn most about a company when something goes wrong. We purchased 2 Hunter-Douglas blinds this past spring and one broke after 3 months. Bridget from The Well-Dressed Window responded promptly to our needs and convinced Hunter-Douglas to remake the blind at no charge to us. The new one works perfectly. We are very appreciative that Bridget advocated for us.
We had a broken blind with some other issues (installed by another company). I called TWDW and they were very responsive & eager to help us out. Within a few days our blinds were fixed. They gave us valuable feedback and a plan moving forward. Great people, very kind! We will definitely continue to use them.
Whole team was very prompt, design team was extremely helpful in providing insights into what would look good in the room as well as functionality. Install team was great and work really quickly and even took the old blinds. Could not be more pleased with the team at The Well Dressed Window!
The folks at The Well Dressed Window went above and beyond to help us find necessary replacement parts for our blinds. Taylor and Tina both went out of their way to get new parts for our Hunter Douglas blinds, both times at no cost. If I need window coverings in the future, they’ll get my business.
We had our patio door blinds replaced recently and I'm so happy we did it. They slide so easily and they look beautiful. I only wish we would have done it sooner. From picking them out to having them installed, everything went smoothly and efficiently. I highly recommend them.
We used The Well Dressed Window for blinds in our new home in Bloomington. Bridget came the day after I contacted her and shared many options, measured, and within a couple of days installed temporary blinds. A few months later, we added a sunroom and they installed blinds while we were gone for the winter. Everything was finished and looked great when we returned! They were quick to get back to us, friendly, reliable, neat and knowledgeable. We highly recommend The Well Dressed Window!
Great experience!! Bridget took time to thoroughly discuss the options available for window treatments for our windows. We chose wood blinds and they're wonderful!! LOVE the blinds - and installation couldn't have been better! This is the second time we've worked with Bridget and The Well Dressed Window. First time we had Plantation Shutters installed on our first floor windows. We're extremely pleased with the service and the products.
So impressed with our new blinds from The Well Dressed Window! When I first contacted them I wanted black plantation shutters, only to find out they wouldn’t work (the kitchen sink and light are in the way). Thank you so much for helping me figure out what would fit AND keeping with my style! If you need any window treatments, I would highly recommend. Everything from design, to measurements, to install was so easy! Thanks again!
