Accessibility statement

The Well Dressed Window wants everyone to be able to explore window treatments, find a showroom and book a consultation on this website, including people who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, or use a keyboard, screen reader or other assistive technology.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities.

What we've done

  • Every photo has a text description for screen readers.
  • Pages use clear headings, labeled links, buttons and form fields, and can be used with a keyboard alone.
  • A "Skip to main content" link and a visible focus outline help keyboard users move around.
  • Text meets WCAG AA color contrast.
  • Slideshows and looping videos have a pause button and stay still for visitors who turn on reduced motion.
  • Videos with speech use YouTube captions; our drapery video, which has music and on-screen text only, has a written description.
  • The site works when zoomed in and on phones and tablets.

Known limits

  • The Room Visualizer creates AI pictures of window treatments in a photo of your room. Because its results are images, it's most useful with sight. Our designers are happy to describe options and bring samples to you instead.
  • Embedded Google maps and YouTube videos come from Google, and we don't control how accessible they are.

We're here to help
